BetterVue, SeeVue and UltraVue Insect Screen Mesh are designed to perfectly see through, also meaning daylight comes indoors as usual. Insects are the only things that will not come through. We do offer sun blocking screens if that is your preference.
Solar Insect Screen helps to keep indoors cool in summer by blocking the sun, reducing energy costs as the A/C or other devices can stay off.
PetScreen will make sure you can profit the benefits of insect screens without having to worry about your pets demolishing them. The screen is claw and bite resistant.
Yes. Our Pollen Insect Screen Mesh is the ideal mesh for people suffering from hay fever or other allergies. The mesh attracts pollen and fine dust to keep them outside your living space.
This depends on your wishes and the space where you want to apply it. Here’s a handy overview:
Situation / Recommended mesh
Maximum visibility and fresh air: UltraVue2 or BetterVue
Keeping out the smallest mosquitoes and insects: No-See-Ums (20x20 mesh)
Strong mesh for pets or children: PetScreen or TuffScreen
Sunny windows or blocking heat: SunTex 80/90 or Solar Insect Screen
Daytime privacy: SunScreen or SunTex
Very humid environments or coastal areas: Fiberglass mesh or TuffScreen
Yes. Although we use thinner threads for better visibility, we compensate with a tighter weave. This keeps the mesh strong and durable. If you specifically need strong mesh, PetScreen and TuffScreen are extra strong and used for intensive use or for pets. These are not "Less Visible".
For maximum protection against mosquitoes and small insects (such as midges or sandflies), we recommend No-See-Ums mesh (20x20 weave). BetterVue is also a good option, offering 10% more insect protection than standard mesh.
Are you using an existing frame? Measure the width of the groove where the mesh sits. Then choose a slightly smaller spline than that opening, so it fits tightly and securely.
Fiberglass or vinyl mesh: use lukewarm water and a mild soap solution.
Metal mesh (such as aluminum or bronze): rinse with water only, no scrubbing.
Allow the mesh to dry before reinstalling.
Bronze does not turn green. It naturally oxidizes to a dark, elegant bronze color, which also improves the view outside.
Type of mesh / Advantages
Fiberglass: Affordable, flexible, rustproof, easy to work with
Aluminum: Sharper look, stronger, but can dent or oxidize
Bronze or stainless steel: Durable, luxurious appearance, ideal for classic windows
Cut out a 1x1 cm square from a piece of paper. Place it on the mesh and count the number of openings horizontally and vertically. For example, if you see 18 openings horizontally and 16 vertically, you have an 18x16 mesh.

No. Fly doors can be built with several mesh options. Pleated screens are popular because they slide smoothly and fold away compactly, but you can also choose standard insect mesh, PetScreen, Pollen Mesh, Solar Mesh or another type of mesh. The best choice depends on your space, door type, and personal preference.
The fine mesh allows visibility from inside out but reduces the view from outside in, adding a degree of daytime privacy.
The aluminum frames and coated mesh resist rust, UV light, and moisture, making them suitable for indoor–outdoor conditions.
A pleated screen door folds the mesh as it opens, which is why it is perfect for daily use since it is durable and space-saving. The pleated screen door will stay in the wanted position and adds an luxurious look.
The most popular screen door is a pleated screen door, since it does not take up much space as it folds when opening and closing the screen door.
There are several types of screen doors. Ultimesh offers a range of pleated screen doors, and various types of mesh are also suitable for screen doors.
A screen door is a frame with mesh that can be installed on or inside a doorframe. It keeps insects out while allowing you to enjoy fresh air.
A screen for a window is a frame with mesh that keeps insects out, lets fresh air through and keeps the view to outside.
The most important function is that window screens keep insects out, of course. On top of that the view to outside stays clear and fresh air keeps flowing through.
Window screens are available in multiple forms. You can choose from fixed, rolling or pleated window screens. Every type of screen Ultimesh has in its range can be used for windows.
For windows screens, every mesh in our range can be used. Although Fiberglass is a popular choice due to its durability, it just depends on needs and personal preference.
